Microwave Chocolate Crunch

| 100g Soft Margarine. | Mixing Bowl & Small Bowl. | Knife. |
| 225g Digestive Biscuits, Crushed. | Sieve. | Paper Towel. |
| 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Golden Syrup. | Chopping Board. | Tablespoon. |
| 1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder. | Rolling Pin. | Teaspoon. |
| 100g Chocolate. | Tray 160 x 120 x 40 deep. | Plastic bag. |
Instructions:-
A. Grease Tray.
- Place a little margarine in the tray and use paper towel to grease the inside of the tray.
B. Biscuit + Cocoa Mixture.
- Put 225g of biscuits in a plastic bag and place on the chopping board.
- Bash the biscuits with the rolling pin until there are no lumps.
- Tip the crushed biscuits into the mixing bowl.
- Put a sieve on the mixing bowl.
- Add cocoa powder to the sieve.
- Use the back of a spoon to force the lumps of cocoa through the sieve.
- Stir the mixture.
C. Margarine + Syrup Mixture.
- Spoon in 1 tablespoon of golden syrup into the small bowl. Hold the tin over the bowl. Clean up tin and put away.
- Use the knife to divide the 500g tub of margarine into 5 equal parts. Lift out one portion and put in the small bowl with the syrup.
- Break up the margarine into small lumps to speed up melting.
- Place bowl in the microwave.
- Heat the mixture on full power in bursts of 15/30 seconds until melted.
D. Mixing Ingredients and Filling.
- Add the melted mixture to the crushed biscuits.
- Thoroughly mix. Make certain that all the mixture at the botttom is mixed.
- Spoon all the mixture into the tray. Use two spoons, one to scrape the other.
- Press down the mixture with the back of the spoon. If the mixture is too loose or open, it will crumble when cut or mix with the topping when it is being spread.
- Clean up the edges ot the tray with a paper towel.
E. Topping.
- Check the weight of the whole packet of chocolate. Estimate 100g and add to a small bowl.
- Break into small lumps.
- Place the small bowl in the Microwave.
- Heat the chocolate on full power in bursts of 15/30 seconds. Do not over heat. Test with a spoon to see if it has melted as cheap chocolate may still look solid and remain in the same shape.
- Spoon all the melted chocolate on top of the biscuit mixture in the tray.
- Level out the chocolate using the back of a spoon in a circular motion.
- Gently tap the tray on the table to smooth the topping.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set.
- Cut into portions.
