The Maze

Example of a maze

Marble inlet

SIDE

Holes in sides of maze can not be positioned next to joint.

The sides are the easiest place to put the marble into the Maze.
CAUTION   Do not put a hole next to a corner joint in the sides marked at XX. This would weaken the joint.

TOP

A picture is going to be stuck onto the top after completing the Maze. It is very easy to cut the hole with a "Spade Drill". It is the position of the hole that causes the problem. The position of the hole must be directly above a space not a dividing stick.

Marble outlet

SIDE

Holes in sides of maze can not be positioned next to joint.

Do not put a hole next to a corner joint in the sides marked at XX.

BOTTOM

Position the hole away from the inlet hole as it can get confusing. "Did it come out the inlet?"

Position of Trap

A hole can be drilled in the base as a hidden "Trap". Position the hole away from the inlet and outlet holes as it can get confusing.

Position of Sticks

Sticks have to be placed inside the tram lines. Sticks have to be placed inside the tram lines.

Sticks have to be placed inside the tram lines so that the marble can pass. The picture on the right shows that badly positiond sticks will stop the marble from running around the Maze.

Overlap sticks to make them longer, shown side by side. Overlap sticks to make them longer.

When designing your Maze, lay one stick on top of another to make them longer. When making your Maze cut them to the correct length.

Sticks touch at the corners. Overlap sticks at the corners.

When designing your Maze, sticks at the corners can either be put end to side or overlapped. When making your Maze cut the ends of the sticks square and sand all edges smooth before gluing them down.
